Emma Lee Jones, 74, of Knoxville, MD, passed away Friday, April 29, 2016 at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro. She was the loving wife of Samuel L. Jones whom she married February 25, 1961 in Sharpsburg, MD.
Born September 22, 1941 in Harrisonburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late Seymour T. and Cora L. Craun Douglas.
She is survived by her children, Brenda F. Smith and husband, Charles, of Jonestown, PA and Sandra K. Dentinger and husband, Mark, of Frederick; brother, Harold Douglas of Rawlings, MD; grandchildren, Robert W. Smith of Falling Waters, WV, Courtney L. Dentinger and Dustin A. Dentinger both of Frederick; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Marlene L. Jones; brothers and sister, Donald Douglas, Ronald Douglas and Margaret Jones.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2016 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 North Maple Avenue, Brunswick with the Rev. Tim May officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in the Old Brownsville Cemetery.
