Emma Barkdoll

Emma Geneva Barkdoll, 89, of Boonsboro, MD passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017 at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late H. Howard Barkdoll.
Born December 24, 1927 in Shepherdstown, WV she was the daughter of the late Howard Edgar, Sr. and Emma Rebecca Brinning Miller.
Geneva was a member of the Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church and taught Sunday School for several years. She loved to cook and garden. Most importantly she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children L. Leslie Harshman of Boonsboro, G. Kaye Staley of Unionville, Jerry W. Barkdoll of Boonsboro, C. Terri Barkdoll of Boonsboro and Cheri A. Koons of PA; three grandchildren Jason A. Barkdoll of Boonsboro JoEllen J. Kidwell of Boonsboro and Lisa A. Harshman of Fairplay.
She was preceded in death by two grandchildren Sara A. Harshman and Kevin D. Barkdoll, brothers Howard Miller, Jr. and John Miller and sister Mary Lee Myers.
The family will receive friends at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 10-11AM. A graveside service will begin at 11:30AM at Fairview Cemetery, Keedysville. Pastor Vic Moon will officiate.
