Mrs. Emily H. (Hodkinson) Kines, 98 of Taney Village in Frederick, MD passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at the Northampton Manor Nursing Home.

She was the wife of the late William Edward Ed Kines, Sr.
Born November 2, 1911 in Washington, DC.

She was the daughter of the late John William Hodkinson and Bettie (Ingram)Hodkinson.

She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Middletown, MD.

She was an active member of the Social Club of the Taney Village Apartments and she once served as the treasurer.

She enjoyed ceramics, crocheting and painting.

She is survived by her son, William E. Kines, Jr. of Ocean City,MD,granddaughters Wanda Kines, Allison Wood and husband Neil, Vicki Bradley and husband Mike, great grandchildren Scott Wachtel, Kristopher Wachtel, Michael Wood and wife Cassie, Benjamin Wood and wife Mary, Jonathan Wood, Alexandra Bradley and Nicholas Bradley.

She will also be remembered by her numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Gloria E. Kines, her brothers and sisters, Norman Hodkinson, Clarence Hodkinson, Lillian Aufdem-Brinke, Walter Hodkinson, Julia Hodkinson and Robert Hodkinson.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621
Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Monday, April 26th from 2-4 and 7-9PM.

Services: Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 27th at 10:00AM with Pastor Joanna Marceron officiating.
Interment will be in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Middletown.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lions Clubs International Foundation.
