Ms. Emily Elizabeth Zimmerman, 26, of Brunswick passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, January 20, 2016.
Born July 1, 1989 in Frederick, she was the daughter of Westley and Cynthia D. Tibbs of Jefferson and Joseph M. and Dale Zimmerman of Frederick.
Emily was a graduate of Tuscarora High school. She received her CNA/GNA certification from Frederick Community College and was taking classes at FCC in the pursuit of her nursing degree. Emily was an employee with Glade Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was a loving mother to her daughter, Jalyn. Emily was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Emily will be remembered for her kindness, her independent spirit, and for her dedication to being the very best mother she could be. She was a genuine friend to many, and a wonderful daughter. Her family recognizes the gift her life represented, and that now she is wrapped in loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
In addition to her parents and daughter, Emily is survived by two brothers, Douglas and Justin Armolt; a sister, Danielle Coleman; her grandparents, Ruby Baer, Pauline "Skippy" Zimmerman, and Brad and Sharon Trent; aunts and uncles, Jennifer and Silas Phillips, Richie and Julie Baer, Steven and Laurie Zimmerman, and Rebecca and Walt Hepner; and many cousins.
She was predeceased by her grandfathers, Richard Baer and Murray Zimmerman.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, where a funeral service will begin at 3 p.m. on Friday, January 29th.
