Emily Yingling

Emily E. Yingling, 93 of Thurmont passed away peacefully on Monday, October 17, 2016 at St. Catherine's Nursing Center, Emmitsburg, MD. She was born July 13, 1923 to Charles and Charlotte (Banks) Robinson in London, England. Emily was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles "Bumpty" Yingling and son-in-law, Richard Wetzel. She is survived by her children, Esme Anita (Harold) Bollinger, Ann Marie Wetzel, both of Thurmont and Stephen Russell (Tina) Yingling of Fairfield, PA; 7 grandchidren, 8 great-grandchildren and 10 great great-grandchildren.
Emily was employed as a seamstress for 50 years at St. Joseph's Provincial House, past director of the Thurmont Food Bank for 17 years, a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Thurmont and her hobbies included knitting, cross-stitching, reading and sewing.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 East Main Street, Thurmont, MD on Friday, October 21 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and where funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 11 am. Interment Weller UMC Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Thurmont Food Bank.
