Mr. Emerson Avance, 57, of Frederick, died Friday, August 21, 2009, at home, surrounded by his UCP family.
Emerson was born September 14, 1951 and was the son of Joseph Harrison and Susie Jane Harrison.
Emerson was a member of the UCP Day Program.
He enjoyed dancing, singing and clapping and will be remembered fondly as he was a very happy person.
Surviving is his sister Virginia and half-sister Ms. Janet Speight.
Emerson will also be sorely missed and remembered by his UCP caregivers, his housemates Tony Smallwood and Marvin Torres and his UCP friends.
Services: Memorial Services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday August 26, 2009 at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. Pastor Ron Reaves will officiate. Interment will be private.
