Elsie E. Martz

Mrs. Elsie E. Martz, 87, of Frederick, MD, died Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at Golden Living Center. She was the wife of the late Edgar Kemp Martz.

Born June 29, 1919 in Middletown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Nellie Naille Hoffman.

Mrs. Martz was a member of Centenial Memorial United Methodist Church, a member of the Rose Hill Garden Club and the Gambrill Park Homemakers. She retired as manager, in the Drapery Department at Sears, after many years of service.

She is survived by her daughter Dolores Summers and husband Arthur of Frederick, her brother-in-laws Harold Martz and wife Esther and Leo Guyton both of Frederick. Many beloved nieces and nephews also survive. She will also be remembered by her special friends Louise Blair and Pauline Nicodemus.

She was preceded in death by a sister Beulah Guyton and brothers Russell, Donald, Eugene and Harold Hoffman.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick Thursday, May 3, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m

Services: Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 4, at 11:00 a.m.. with Rev. Dr. George Earle, Jr. officiating.

Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
