Mrs. E. Louise (Lou) Gypins, 72 of Frederick died Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Jerry J. Gypins.
Born September 4, 1938 in Bethany, Missouri she was the daughter of the late Harold and Ruby Garton. Lou is survived by a brother Donald Garton of Sacramento, CA and was preceded in death by a sister Ruthie Weigel of Flatonia, Texas.
Lou worked many years for C&P Telephone Company and more recently for Frederick County Schools as a bus driver for special needs children attending Rock Creek School. Lou enjoyed most being with her family and many friends. She was an avid reader, bowled on numerous leagues and loved going to yard sales.
Survivors include four children, daughters Terry Gypins Landers and husband Rick of Reston, Virginia, Sheila Stern and husband Jack of Walkersville, Maryland, Andrea Gypins Unroe and husband Ben of Hagerstown, Maryland and a son Corey Gypins and wife Shawn of Walkersville, Maryland; six grandchildren, Dennise, Adam, Danielle, Kevin, Lauren and Kayla one great grandchild, Nyaire her best friend Dottie and many four-legged grandchildren.
Friends and relatives are invited to call from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Maryland.
