Eloise Power

April 30, 1925 — September 11, 2014

Mrs. Eloise L. Power, 89, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Homewood at Crumland Farm.  She was the wife of the late Gerald T. Power.

Born April 30, 1925 in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Roger and Eloise Pickering Killelea.

Mrs. Power was a member of St. Katharine Dresel Catholic Church.  She enjoyed family visits, especially from her grandchildren, and sharing news with family and friends near and far by phone and email.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed talking about her favorite books.   She had a lot of pride in her home where she proudly displayed her Hummel, crystal, and doll collections.  She liked to travel to visit friends and family as well as for sightseeing adventures, especially in Europe,  A longtime resident of Homewood at Crumland Farms, she looked forward to dinner with the her friends, and many volunteer activities like Sunshine Readers, greeting visitors to the Meadows and Willows, and the annual community yard sale.

She is survived by  her children Gail Power of  NY, Richard Power and wife Marie of Myrtle Beach, SC, Patricia Power and husband Robin Miller of Jefferson, MD and Maryann Mininni and husband Pete of Lexington, NC., fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, and a sister Patricia Kehoe of VT.  A number of nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter Elisha Power and a sister Mary Meier.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Monday, September 15, from 2:15pm until service time at 3:00 pm with Father Kevin Farmer officiating.
Interment in Lexington, NC
