Eloise Dorsey

Mrs. Eloise W. Dorsey, 76, of Frederick, MD, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, after a lengthy illness at the Kline Hospice House, in Mt. Airy, MD. Eloise was born on March 9, 1940, in Montgomery County, MD. Eloise was the daughter of the late Luther, Sr. and Gladys Marie Williams, and the wife of the late Charles Dorsey, Sr.
Eloise devoted her life to loving and caring for her husband Charles of 57 years, and her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Eloise retired after 25 years as a Professional Chef in the food service industry. Subsequently, Eloise and her husband owned and operated Miss Ellie’s Treasures consignment shop for many years. During those years, they collected and sold antiques, and she became well known in Frederick, MD, and all over, where she was known for her outgoing personality. Eloise also continued to develop her well known sense of fashion and style. Eloise was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church and a lifetime honorary member of Dynamic Fitness Studio.
Eloise is survived by her six children: Barbara Dorsey Smith, husband Ricardo, of Germantown, MD, Cynthia Lou Dorsey, husband Warren, of Frederick, Joyce Marie Lyles, husband Jerry, of Germantown, Charlotte Linda Willis, husband Hammond, of Frederick, Charles “Dinny” Dorsey, wife Shanan of Frederick and Lisa L. Dorsey Trujillo, husband Adrian, of Sarasota, FL, 9 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren; siblings, Maizie Marie Bell of Leander, TX, Warren Williams of Sykesville, MD, William L. Williams of Kissimmee, FL, and Johnetta Joyce Lee Clark of Hagerstown, MD.
She was preceded in death by a Grandson, Brent Alexander Smith, siblings, Eugene Williams, Edward Williams, Luther Williams, Jr. , and Asa (Acey) Williams.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick with viewing at 10:00 am and service at 11:00 am.
Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick.
