Elmer P. Krause, 89, of Frederick, MD died Wednesday evening, December 5, 2012, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 26, 1923 in Congress Park, IL and was the son of the late Otto and Martha (Hof) Krause. He was preceded in death by his first wife Inge and second wife Marlene. He retired from Eastman Kodak, Rockville where he was a Quality Control Manager. He is survived by his children, Heidi LeCompte (and her late husband, George), Lori Wright, David Krause and Carol Kaas, his niece Wendy Konczak and husband Dan Telitz, grand niece Kelli Konczak and grand nephew Paul Konczak, grandchildren Michael LeCompte, Laura Jobe, Tommy Kaas, Sandy Kaas, Joe Kaas, Kristin Krause, and Nickolas Krause.
Elmer, otherwise known as Norm or Moose, also leaves behind many friends, especially Leo and Doris Shank and others at the Route 40W Bob Evans Restaurant where he one of the founding members of the infamous “Liar’s Club”. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Utica, Thurmont, MD a small reception will follow at the church.
