Elmer J. Kachursky, resident of Frederick Maryland, formerly of Roselle Park New Jersey, Passed away on August 12, 2017 at his residence at the age of 89 years.
Mr. Kachursky the son of John Kachursky and Mary Horvath Kachursky was born on 12 October 1927 and raised in Monesson, Pennsylvania.
In his early years, Mr. Kachursky was employed by Pittsburg Steel Company in the western Pennsylvania. Mr. Kachursky a Korean War veteran, of the United States Army.
On June 23, 1950 Mr. Kachursky married Dolores Laskowski of Charleroi Pennsylvania. In 1963, Mr. Kachursky and his family relocated to Roselle Park, New Jersey where he was employed by Whites Laboratories of Kenilworth New Jersey. He retired from the Shering- Plough Pharmaceutical company of Kenilworth, New Jersey in 1992.Shortly after retirement, Mr. and Mrs. Kachursky relocated to Frederick, Maryland to be with friends and family.
Mr. Kachursky enjoyed various activities which included his pets, gardening, camping and his love for random drives though the countryside. He was also an avid music lover of the 1940’s swing band style of music, which led him to play on KDKA, a local Pittsburg radio station, with his band.
Mr. Kachursky is survived by his children Lynn Kachursky Gochenour and Robert Kachursky. Daughter in law Nancy Kachursky. Grandchildren Frank Gochenour, Cynthia Gochenour Carpenter, Johnathan Kachursky and Bethany Kachursky. Greatgrandchildren Robert Gochenour, Evan Carpenter, Jolynn Gochenour, Caitlyn Carpenter and Emily Carpenter.
Mr. Kachursky was preceded by his wife Dolores Kachursky after being married for 60 years. His parents John and Mary Kachursky and brothers Earnest and Edward Kachursky.
