Ellen "Becky" Dellinger

Ellen Rebecca "Becky" (Culler) Dellinger, 90, of Boonsboro, Maryland passed peacefully from this life to the next while surrounded by her family on Monday, December 12, 2011 at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro.

Born on December 31, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Maurice L. and Rosa B. (Palmer) Culler.  Her husband, William H. Dellinger, Sr., whom she married on January 4, 1941, preceded her in death in 1980.

Becky was a 1938 graduate of the Hagerstown High School.

She had formerly been employed as a cafeteria worker with the public schools, retiring in 1995; and she also spent time working as a volunteer at Ravenwood Nursing Home in Hagerstown.

Mrs. Dellinger was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Boonsboro.

Becky was a proud and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who enjoyed the distinction of being a farmer's wife for nearly 30 years.

She is survived by her two sons, William H. Dellinger, II and his wife Vicky, of Hagerstown, and Robert M. Dellinger and his wife Brenda, of Boonsboro; two grandchildren, Rebecca C. Chupak and her husband Derreck of Hagerstown, and Adam R. Dellinger of Frederick; and two great-grandchildren, Tyler M. and Mikayla P. Chupak of Hagerstown.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Lola B. and Eva V. Culler; and three brothers, Harry G., Paul M., and David E. Culler.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 16, 2011 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro.  Rev. Joseph I. Donovan, III will officiate.  Final resting place ceremonies will follow at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Middletown, Maryland.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at the funeral home.
