Ellen Kodish

Ellen Jane Kodish, 83, of Ellicott City, Maryland, passed from this life on Monday, September 3, 2018 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. She was the wife of the late Bernie Gordon and Melvin Widrow.
Born on March 16, 1935, in Heilbronn, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Helmut and Selma Ladenburger Kaufmann.
Ellen was the "Life of the Party" and her smile lit up the room upon her entrance. She loved life and interacting with family and friends especially while playing games, cards and Bingo. Ellen will be missed greatly by her family and many friends.
She is survived by four daughters: Wendy Shlossman of Wilmington, Delaware, Pamela Wise of Lancanster, Pennsylvania, Susan Schoenenberger of New Market, Maryland and Nancy Rabb of Ellicott City, Maryland; 18 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Ellen will also remembered as a loving mother-in-law to Dr. Philip Shlossman, Alan Randall, John Schoenenberger and Dr. Hamid Rabb. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Terri Randall and a brother Arnold Kaufman.
Services and interment will be private.
