Ellen M. Doolittle, 77, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, formerly of Mount Airy, Maryland passed from this life on Sunday, May 27, 2018.
Born on May 29, 1940, in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late William George Maguire and Ellen Ann (Mayhew) Rabbitt.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Evan Stanley Doolittle, Jr.
Ellen enjoyed crafts, sewing, country line dancing, camping, going to the beach, planning the next cruise and visiting one of her favorite places, Disney World.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her son, David W. Doolittle and daughter, Susan A. Doolittle, grandchildren, Christine Schackert, April Simms, Thomas S. Doolittle, Jr., Tristan Twenty, great-grandchildren, Michael Kenneth and Mackenzie Lynn Schackert, Cameron and Samantha Flook, brothers, William G. Maguire and Gerald Maguire.
She is predeceased by her son, Thomas Stanley Doolittle, Sr. and her sister Carol Ann.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville in Mt. Airy, MD. 21771.
A celebration of Ellen's life journey will follow at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 2, 2018. Pastor Ernie Knight will officiate.
Interment will be at Ft. Lincoln Cemetery in Brentwood, MD.
