Elizabeth "Anne" Sitler

Elizabeth “Anne” Sitler, 85, of New Market, MD, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025, at the Kline Hospice House in Mount Airy, MD.

Born on March 6, 1940, in York, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ned R. Sitler and Carrie E. Oakes Sitler.

Anne is survived by her loving son Matthew Mark Sitler, grandchildren Savannah Sitler, Ethan Sitler, Steven Weiss, and Michael Weiss, as well as her brothers Joel Sitler and Ned R. Sitler, Jr.

Anne graduated from Eastern High School. She then went on to spend her career in accounting and worked as a bookkeeper until her retirement. Anne loved the Lord with all her heart. She enjoyed playing games, doing crossword puzzles, and watching sports and game shows on television. Her favorite sports team was the Washington Commanders, HTTR! She loved caring for her pets through the years and is survived by her Yorkie, Belle. She also loved all kinds of flowers and growing plants, but her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren grow.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until the start of the service at 4:00 p.m. at Stauffer Funeral Home. 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd., Mount Airy, MD 21771 with Chaplain Justin Isbister officiating.

Interment will be on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Riverside Cemetery, 29 N. Main St., East Prospect, PA 17317.
