Elizabeth Latimore, 94, of Gaithersburg, MD went home to God on January 13, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Ishamael Latimore , they were united in marriage March 15, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois.
Born March 28, 1917 in Newllton Louisiana, she was the fourth of eight children born to Edgar Emerson and Janie Emerson Smith.
Elizabeth graduated from Madame C. Walker Beauty School and ran a beauty shop from her home for many years.
She is survived by her children Ishmael Latimore, Jr., Roberta Latimore Johnson and Henry Latimore; grandchildren Barry Latimore, Edward (Jimmy) Johnson, Byron Latimore, Stephen Latimore; 5 great-grandchildren; sister Mamie Slaughter and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her siblings Talmadge Emerson, Edgar Emerson, Jr., Priscilla Emerson Smith, Elizabeth Emerson Latimore, Roberta Emerson, Dioniece Emerson Kensey, Mamie Emerson Slaughter and Josie Emerson.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 10AM at Glade Cemetery in Walkersville, MD.
