Elizabeth Chaney

Elizabeth Louise Chaney passed away at her home on Thursday, February 15, 2018. Born November 17, 1990 in Tampa, FL, Beth was raised primarily in Frederick, MD and recently lived in Hagerstown, MD. She is survived by mother Colleen Wigginton and stepfather J. Michael of Frederick, father Jeff Chaney and stepmother Kara of Greencastle, PA, brothers Adam Chaney and wife Megan; Ben Chaney; and Matthew Chaney; and sisters Isabelle Castle and Anna Messett and husband Ryan. Beth will be lovingly remembered by grandmothers Cindy Culler and Judy Chaney, aunt Camille Turgeon and husband Joe, aunt Cindy Norton and husband Tim, uncle Brett Chaney and wife Sandy, uncle Steve Chaney, and many cousins, Susan and Martha Castle as well as much more extended family. Beth will be greeted in Heaven by grandfather Louis Lee Chaney and stepfather Steven Castle.

Graduating from Frederick High School in 2008 and Frederick Community College, then working in customer service, Beth gathered a blessed number of friends. Her vibrant personality and her ability to walk in and light up a room was amazing. Her loving nature was compounded by her passion for others and one of her recent interests was in the organization Brooke’s House of Hagerstown, donations may be made to this cause in her name.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, l621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702 on Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 9-11AM where a funeral service will begin at 11AM. Rev. Tim May will officiate.

Interment will be private.
