Eleanor "Eli" Tolbard

Eleanor Frances Tolbard, age 75, of Frederick, died Sunday, October 5, 2014.
She was born April 10, 1939, in Bowden, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late JW Calain and Beulah Dove Calain. She was the wife of the late William (Bill) Tolbard.
She graduated from Elkins High School and moved to Frederick in the 1950s. She enjoyed working for the C&P phone company as an operator, and later in life she worked at Hood College as an operator. Surviving are her son, William (Tony) Tolbard and wife Amanda of Frederick and four granddaughters, Dallas Tolbard, Taylor Tolbard,, Katy Tolbard and Paige Tolbard. She also will be remembered by numerous in laws, nieces, nephews and cousins which were dear to her heart.
She was the youngest of seven children in her family. She was preceded in death by brothers Woodrow Calain, Russell Calain, Hayes (Mac) Calain, and sisters Virginia Phares Harris, Ruby Vance, and Betty Riggleman.
Interment will be private.
