Mrs. Eleanor Ann Young Orndorff, 84, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and formerly of Frederick, MD  died Monday, December 3, 2012 at Holy Cross Hospital, Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.   She was the wife of the late Joseph B. Orndorff who died Jan17, 1978.

Born November 27, 1928 in Boyds, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late C.Wade and Clydia Carlin Young.

She was a graduate of Frederick High School class of 1945 & the Academy of the Visitation Secretary School.  Eleanor was employed for 6 years at Noah E. Cramer & Son and then 24 years as a secretary at Ft.  Detrick.  Mrs. Orndorff was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America, N.A.R.F., Frederick Memorial Hospital Auxilliary, and the American Legion Auxilliary Post # 11 before relocating to be near her daughter.  She was an active resident of Willow Wood Senior Community in Ft.Lauderdale where she enjoyed all of the activities but most especially the Willow Wood Chorus. She enjoyed traveling and cruising with her many friends.

She is survived by a daughter JoAnn Orndorff of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl, a brother Robert V. Young and wife Shirley of Walkersville.  Many nieces, nephews and friends also survive.  She was preceded in death by  brother James C. Young, and sisters Evelyn M. Castle, and Ethel Y.Ramsburg.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Monday, December 10, 2012 from 4-7 PM where a funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 11 at 11 AM.
Interment Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kline House Hospice of Frederick County.
