Mrs. Eleanor Albaugh Walker Dove, 93, of Frederick, Maryland passed on
Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. Eleanor
was the wife of the late Bernard Dove, married on August 13, 1942. Born
January 5, 1920 in New Market, MD, she was the daughter of the late
Charles Edward Walker and Helen Armstrong Walker. She lived previously in
New Market, MD, Washington DC, Florence, SC, Seattle, WA, Oakland, CA and
Silver Spring, MD. She retired as a school secretary from Montgomery
County School Systems, and enjoyed knitting, cooking, traveling and
gardening.
Eleanor is survived by her two children, Linda Randall Dove of Frederick,
MD and David Walker Dove of New York City and Beaver Creek, Colorado,
sister, Helen Schley of Myersville, MD, grandchildren, Jennifer Elizabeth
Tulko of New Orleans, LA and Katherine King Dove of New York City and
Beaver Creek, CO, great grandchild, Joseph Lawrence Severino of New
Orleans, LA and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by
her sisters, Katherine Bushman and Caroline Clark.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621
Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD on Saturday, November 2nd from
3:00-4:00PM. A memorial service celebrating Eleanor¹s life will begin in
the Stauffer chapel at 4:00PM with Dr. Robert Driver-Bishop officiating.
Inurnment will be at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
