Mrs. Elaine M. Gamble, 83, of Frederick, MD passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Homewood at Crumland Farms. She was the wife of the late John J. Gamble.
Born January 12, 1931 in DuQuoin, IL she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Camden Minton.
Mrs. Gamble worked as an Executive Administrator for the U.S. Navy prior to her retirement. Elaine loved fine dinning with her family and friends. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, quilting and playing bridge. Elaine was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and great-grandmother who loved cruising and vacationing with her family.
She is survived by her children Kathleen Adams of Mt. Airy, Mark Parenteau and wife Karen of Frederick and Phyllis Crane and husband Brian of Frederick; grandchildren Brian Adams and wife Candace, Robert Parenteau and wife Amy, Meredith Green and husband Steve, Wesley Adams, Nicholas Poulos, Matthew Klunk and wife Brandi and Ashley Main and husband Sean; great-grandchildren Brian, Jaidyn, Lailah, Nolan, Brandon, Ryan, Aaron and Mackenzie; she is also survived by her sister Gayle Giavasis.
She is preceded in death by her son Gary Parenteau.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Saturday, November 15, 2014 from 3-4:30PM where a funeral service will begin at 4:30PM. Rev. Tim May will officiate.
Interment will be private.
