On Thursday, February 22, 2024, Elaine Adams Eggink passed away at home after a valiant battle with lung cancer. She was born on October 21st, 1963 and was raised in Washington Grove, MD. She was the daughter of the late Philip C. Adams, Jr. and Anne Arthur Adams. Mother of Joshua Kyle Eggink and Morgan Anne Eggink. She is survived by her siblings, Phil Adams (Shelli), Maggie Temme, John Adams (Mary); beloved Aunt Diamentina Nicolaidis; and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband, Theodore Eggink.
While in School, Elaine played tennis and was actively involved in choir and theater. Some productions she performed in were The Lion in Winter, Man of La Mancha, Carousel, and even worked at the Summer Dinner Theater at Montgomery College. She graduated from Gaithersburg High School in 1981, Montgomery College in 1983, and Towson University in 1985 where she studied Mass Communications and Public Relations.
Elaine, having countless skills and hobbies, was a loving mother, homemaker, friend, and mentor to many. She loved her dogs, horses, and farm. As she was able to live her dream, she wanted in lieu of a service for everyone to honor her by taking a day for themselves and doing something that they love.
