Elaine Celia Barman, 57, of New Market, MD died Sunday August 5th surrounded by family and loved ones after a battle with pancreatic cancer. She was the spouse of Ajit Barman for nearly 38 years.
Born Tuesday, October 12th, 1954, she was the daughter of her late parents Edmund and Frances Schwartz.
Elaine was a technical recruiter for 14 years and office manager for Altek Information Technology in Frederick for 5 years. She had a great love for gardening, scrapbooking, crafts, travelling and dogs. She travelled the world, threw parties for friends and family, and made delicious perogies. She was a beloved mother and caretaker.
She is survived by her husband, Ajit Barman, brother, Raymond Schwartz, daughter, Monika Barman, son, Dave Barman, son, Kris Barman, and grand-daughter Matilda Barman and dog Chutney.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 7th, 2012 from 5-9pm at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike Frederick, MD with Deacon Roff to lead Catholic prayers.
A memorial service will be held August 8th, 2012 at 7pm at Stauffer Funeral home following cremation with Deacon Dan Roff officiating.
