Eileene Virginia (Keyton) Best, 72, of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed from this life on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Charlotte's Home in Maugansville, Maryland.
Born on June 25, 1943, in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Chester C. Keyton and Beulah V. (Wright) Keyton.
Her husband, Burton H. Best, preceded her in death on October 1, 2005.
She graduated from Boonsboro High School.
She worked as a waitress for Cindy Dee Diner.
Eileene enjoyed traveling, shopping and singing.
She is survived by one son, Joseph E. Best of California; one sisters, Ruby L. McKinney-Stevens of Boonsboro; one brother, Hunter L. Keyton of Hagerstown. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Edward C. Keyton, Russell C. Keyton, Lester S. Keyton, William L. Keyton and Lawrence W. Keyton; and two sisters, Dorothy K. Anderson and Carrie B. (Kit) Grove.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro. Pastor Mike Carey will be officiating. Final resting place ceremonies will follow at the Boonsboro Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at the funeral home.
