Effie Louise Fulmer

Effie Louise Fulmer, born on December 13, 1931, in Frederick, MD, passed away on July 20, 2023, at Northhampton Manor Health Care Center. She was the daughter of Charles Vernon Fulmer and Mary N. Fulmer (Mobley). 

Effie had a fulfilling career with the Food and Drug Administration, where she dedicated many years of hard work before retiring.

Aside from her career, Effie had a passion for roller skating. It was one of her favorite hobbies.

Effie graduated from Frederick High School in the class of 1950. 

A woman of faith, Effie was an active member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Frederick, MD. She played bells and sang in the choir, bringing her beautiful voice to worship services each week. She was affectionately known as the “Church Mouse” for her dedication to tidying up the church on Monday mornings.

In addition to her involvement in church activities, Effie was also a member of the Pythians Sister Mountain City Temple No. 14 and the Stroke Club in Frederick, MD. She found friendship and support within these organizations and valued the connections she made there.

She is survived by her brother, George Fulmer, niece, Teresa Burrill who served as Effie's caretakerduring these past years, offering comfort and support in her time of need. Effie also leaves behind nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will cherish the memories they shared with her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister's; Mary Culler, Betty Flohr, Dorothy Droneburg, Bonnie Kardeen, and Eleanor Fulmer, and her brothers; Claude Fulmer, and Robert Fulmer.

Visitation services will be held on August 2, 2023, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike Frederick, Md 21702 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM. A Memorial Service will follow at the funeral home from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Rev. Tim May will officiate.
