Mr. Edward Thomas Clark, 64, of Walkersville, died on Thursday, May 28th, 2009 at Washington County Hospital. He was the husband of Donna M. Mills.

Born on November 30th, 1944 in Nashville, TN he was a son of the late William E. and Garnett Hughes Poyet Clark.

Mr. Clark was an established photographer, influenced early in his life by his father, a Life Magazine photographer for 26 years.

Tom was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served from 1962 to 1965, during his service he worked as a photographer for Stars and Stripes news Paper.

After the Army Tom began freelancing for many publications including: Time Magazine, Business Week, Paris Match, Washington Post and the Los Angeles times. He also photographed at the White House, various embassies and Capitol Hill.

After owning successful studios in Gaithersburg, MD and Denver, CO, he opened a studio in Frederick in 1983 where he photographed weddings, portraits, and restored old photographs. His tools of the trade were a Mac computer and digital cameras.

Tom enjoyed racing cars, flying airplanes and especially photographing nature.

Surviving beside his wife are 2 nieces; Ninika Clark Gordon and her child Zoe Noelle Gordon, Ina Clark and her children, Maya and Willie Seckinger, a step-daughter, Heather K. Whittington. He will be missed by his dog Brandy, and also be remembered by his many friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother Noelle Clark.

Visitation: Family will receive friends at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, on Tuesday, June 2nd, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Services: A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
