Mr. Edward I. Delauder Jr., 86, of Frederick died on Sunday April 25, 2010 at home surrounded by loved ones. He was the husband of Betty J. Delauder.
Born on April 15, 1924 in Maryland he was the son of the late Edward I. Sr., and Hilda Smith Delauder of Howard County.
Mr. Delauder served in the U. S. Army during WWII. He was the owner operator of the former Delauder used cars and parts in Mt. Airy and Mt. Airy Gun Exchange. He was an avid collector of El Caminos. He was a member of American Legion Post 191 Mt. Airy, Elks, AMVETS and V.F.W. Post 10076.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children Judy Bell and husband Glendon Sr. of Mt. Airy and Tim Delauder and wife Patti of Walkersville. Grandchildren; Jill Gosnell and husband Steve, Traci Hawkins and husband Jason, Jodi Mullinix and husband Steve, Brandon Delauder, Christian Delauder, Christina Beachner and husband Kurt and Maria Blake and husband Curtis. Great grandchildren; Steven James Gosnell, Chesney Lee Gosnell, Hailey Elizabeth Hawkins, Jacob Glendon Hawkins, William Steven Mullinix, Glendee Eve Mullinix, Brianna Adams, Noah Adams, Zachary Beachner, Jackson Beachner and Bryce Blake.
He was preceded in death by his grandson Glendon Bell Jr. and a daughter in law Connie Delauder.
Visitation: Friends may call from 2-4 & 7-9pm on Friday April 30, 2010, at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville Blvd, Mt. Airy.
Services: Funeral Services and interment will be private in Pine Grove Cemetery, Mt. Airy.
