Mr. Edward Franklin Parlaman, 71, of New Market passed away on Monday June 29, 2015 in Frederick, MD.
Ed was born on Oct. 3, 1943 in Washington, D.C. and moved to Frederick County in 1979. Ed enjoyed spending retirement with his good friends and family, listening to live music, riding his favorite horse, driving a school bus and attending Brook Hill United Methodist Church.
Ed retired as a manager with AT&T/Lucent Technologies after 38 years and loved vacationing in the Outer Banks. He was a life member and former assistant chief with the Wheaton Volunteer Rescue Squad, a member and former president of the Central Maryland Saddle Club, honorably discharged from the U.S. Army National Guard-115th Evacuation Hospital and a member of the American Legion/Frederick Post.
Survivors include his brother Kenny Parlaman; daughters Lindsay Contoveros and her husband Paul of Alexandria, Va., Kelly Forsythe and her husband Jonathan of Frederick, Md., and Hannah Parlaman of Frederick, Md.; son Scott Przywarty of New Market, Md.; grandchildren Shelby and Ashley Przywarty, Clayton and Camden Forsythe, Christian and Grace Contoveros.
Ed is also lovingly remembered by Julie and Sam Castleman.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 1 at Brook Hill United Methodist Church 8946 Indian Springs Rd, Frederick, MD 21702, with reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Frederick County, PO Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702.
