Edward Danner

Mr. Edward Thomas Danner, age 92, of Frederick, MD passed away peacefully on December 28, 2016 with his family at his side. Edward was residing with his daughter in Thurmont, MD at the time of his passing.

Born on July 14, 1924, in Meadows, MD, he was the son of the late Harry S. and Lillie May (Layman) Danner.

He worked at Meadows Van and Storage for 40 years. He and Ruth enjoyed playing bingo at various locations. He was the last of his immediate family.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Ruth Danner; and 2 daughters, Patricia Garst and Sharon McKinney. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 4 great- grandchildren and 1 great- great grandchild. Additionally, a sister in law, Margaret S. Powers also survives.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM on Wednesday, January 4, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick where funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, January 5, with Rev. Helen Smith officiating.

Interment will take place in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Woodsboro.
