Edward Franklin Babbitt, Jr.

Edward Franklin Babbitt Jr., 82, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at his home.

Born on February 7, 1943, in Silver Spring, MD, he was the son of the late Edward Franklin Babbitt Sr. and Mary (Buchanan) Babbitt.

He worked at Pepco Power Plant in Dickerson for 35 years prior to his retirement. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1962-65. Additionally, he was a longtime member of the Woodsboro American Legion.

Ed was a loving father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his sons, Fred Babbitt and wife Shannon, and Frank Babbitt, III; four grandchildren; one sister; and one brother.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD.

A celebration of Edward's life journey will take place at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, from the funeral home chapel.
