Mrs. Edna Pauline Titus, 95, of Mt Airy, died on Saturday, March 28, 2009, at the Golden Living Center in Frederick. Born on Sept 4, 1913, in Dawsonville, Montgomery County, she was the daughter of the late Martin Luther and Leola Savage Poole.

Prior to her retirement, she was an employee of Sears, Roebuck & Co in Washington, DC. After moving to Mt Airy, she was a life member of the Mt Airy Volunteer Fire Auxiliary and a past president of the Carroll County Ladies Auxiliary.

Surviving are three children, Shirley A Braunberg and her husband Robert, of Winchester, Va, Edward W. Titus and his wife Donna, of Sneads Ferry NC and Howard William Titus (Bill) and his wife Cheryl of Ocala, FL, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Mrs Titus was preceded in death by two brothers, Martin (Dutch) and Samuel (Sam) Poole and her close friend George Virts.

Visitation: Friends may call on from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Wednesday, April 1, at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E Ridgeville Blvd, Mt Airy.

Services: Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 2 with Rev. Wallace Luck officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Mt Airy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mt Airy Volunteer Fire Co, 702 N Main Street, Mt Airy, MD 21771.
