Edna Mae Hawkins Smith Wisner

Mrs. Edna Mae Hawkins Smith Wisner, 91, passed away Monday, November 7, 2011 at her home. She was the former wife of the late Clarence E. Smith, Sr.

Born August 17, 1920 in Boyds, MD she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Maude Jones Hawkins.

Edna was the last of her immediate family she had four brothers and three sisters. She enjoyed feeding the birds and being around farm animals. Edna also enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking for her family and baking pies.

She is survived by her daughter Dolores Denn and husband Milton where she resided for the past fourteen years in Walkersville, MD; sons Clarence E. Smith, Jr. and wife Esther of Frederick, MD, Douglas E. Smith of Hagerstown, MD and Ronald A. Smith and wife Toni of Scottsboro, AL; grandchildren Chuck Denn of Walkersville, Mark Denn and wife Sue of Woodsboro, David Denn and wife Karen of Hagerstown, Stormy Morse of Hagerstown, Wendy Sigler of Hedgesville, WV, Brett Smith and wife Farrah and Scott Smith and wife Pam all of Scottsboro, AL and 13 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her son Teddy E. Smith grandson Jimmy Denn and one great-great-grandson.

Services will be private.
