Edith Wolfes

Mrs. Edith "Cass" J. Wolfes, 76 of Frederick, MD., died Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at the Washington Hospital Center. She was the wife of Robert L. Wolfes, Jr., her husband of 46+ years.
Born October 21, 1933 in Martinsburg, WV, she was the daughter of the late John and Ella Shives Castleman.
Mrs. Wolfes was a graduate of Mussleman High School, 1951, in Inwood WV. She went on to Kings Daughters Hospital School of Nursing in Martinsburg, WV graduating in 1959.
Cass was a member of the Sugarloaf Mountain Region Antique Car Club. She enjoyed collecting antiques, playing bridge, bingo, viewing nature, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a zest and will for life.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons Robert L. Wolfes, III and wife Janet of Jefferson and J. Flint Wolfes and wife Tina of Frederick, five grandchildren, Michael Morgan, Spencer Wolfes, Rebecca Moore and husband James, Calvin Wolfes and Jack Wolfes, two great grandchildren Konnar and Kylee Moore, a sister Loraine Lee of PA. and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by five brothers Kenneth, Wayne, Earl, Donald and Tommy Castleman and a sister June Castleman.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Saturday, June 12, from 2 - 4 and 6-8 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home Chapel at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Barbara "Spies" Scott officiating.
Interment will be private.
