Edith Troupe

Mrs. Edith Mae Troupe, 80, of Frederick, passed away on July 10.  She was the wife of Robert E. Troupe.  Born on July 3, 1937 in Feagaville, she was the daughter of the late James R. Winpigler and Bertha Blank Winpigler.

Mrs. Troupe worked many years at F&M and BB&T Bank in Frederick and was a member of Glade United Church of Christ.  She was an incredible cook and had a passion for feeding others.  Edith loved baking and her family will remember years of wonderful Holiday dinners.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by children Jeffery Troupe and wife Terry, Teresa Segal and husband Ira, Belinda Hill and husband Terry, Brian Troupe, Dale Troupe and wife Kathryn; grandchildren Shasta Troupe, Lexa Troupe, Sarah Brady and husband Rich, Amy Hill, Emily Main and husband Joe, John Troupe and wife Elaine, Rita Mullis and husband Matt; great-grandchildren Dylan Troupe Augustine, Raelyn Long and Sonny Troupe.  She is also survived by sisters Mary Lou Thomas, Shirley Rice and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by siblings Alden Flook, Charles Flook, Elsie Barger, Eva Grimes, Delores Pfeiffer, Edward Winpigler, Patricia Clem and Leon Winpigler.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 12 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 13 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the funeral home.  Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
