E. Diane Van Vleck

Diane Van Vleck, age 61 of Taneytown, MD, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 4, 2016. She was born July 15, 1955 in Frederick, Maryland to Avis and Dorothy Young.
She was a graduate of Walkersville High School. She worked at the well-known Cozy Restaurant in Thurmont, MD for over 20 years and most recently at Mountain Gate Family Restaurant, also in Thurmont MD. She was a member of the Woodsboro Legion auxiliary post 282. Diane enjoyed spending time with her friends and always had a positive outlook on life.
She was preceded in death by her brother Eric Young.
She is survived by her spouse Richard and her son Brad Doyle and fiancé Peggy Dewees of Thurmont, MD; sister Heather Scheuerman and her husband Robert; Granddaughter Robbie and Grandson D.J., and many nieces and nephews and numerous other relatives.
The family will be greeting friends and relatives on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Avenue, Walkersville, MD. This will be followed by a memorial service which will begin at 1:00 pm., Rev. Tim May will officiate.
