Edgar McLean

Edgar Roberto McLean, 8, of Sharpsburg, Maryland, loving son, brother, nephew, grandson, and friend to all, became one of the Lord's precious angels on Sunday, July 6, 2014, while surrounded by his loving family at their home.
Born on April 27, 2006, in Frederick, Maryland he is the son of Gregory S. and Cecilia L. (Sines) McLean.
For many years, Edgar battled Diamond Blackfan Anemia.
He was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church in Brunswick, Maryland.
Edgar just completed the second grade at Sharpsburg Elementary School.
He was a talented rainbow loom jewelry creator who loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed many things including:  being a cub scout with cub pack #51 of Sharpsburg, baseball, lacrosse, flag football, martial arts, video games, Legos, the color orange, pizza, Nutter's ice cream and Harry Potter.
Edgar will forever be remembered as being a good kid to all and having a contagious smile that would light up a room.
In addition to his parents, Edgar is survived by his four siblings, Chase, Cecil, Graham, and Heather McLean, all at home; his biological mother,  Mayra G. Rivero-Juarez and her family;  his maternal grandparents, Cecil and Jenny Sines of Baltimore, Maryland; his paternal grandparents, Tom and June McLean of Parkersburg, West Virginia; and his aunts and uncles, Scott and Mary Kerr, Jeff and Jennifer Crownover, and James and Jennifer Sines. He is also survived by his cousins, J.R., Katie, Clayton, Jacob, Garrett, Mitchell, Julia, Sydney, and Jackson; and his many friends from the Sharpsburg, Boonsboro, and Brunswick communities.
A Celebration of Edgar's Life Journey will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at the New Hope United Methodist Church, 7 South Maryland Avenue, Brunswick, Maryland 21716.  Rev. Katie Bishop will officiate.  Final resting-place ceremonies will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Sharpsburg.
Family will be present to receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, July 11, 2014, at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Maryland, and one hour prior to the service at New Hope UMC church on Saturday.
