Edgar Blank

Mr. Edgar M. “Pappy” Blank, 81, of Walkersville, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2011 at the Glade Valley Center. He was the beloved husband of Audrey Fogle Blank, his wife of 61 years.
Born June 11, 1930, he was the son of the late Grayson and Marguerite Blank.
Edgar was a crafted roofer and local business man for 35 years. He loved to fish and hunt and spend time in the great outdoors. He was a life member of the Libertytown Fire Department.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Steven M. Blank and wife Shirley of Woodsboro, Jeanne E. Kline and husband Wayne, Edgar L. Blank and wife Judy and David B. Blank all of Walkersville, eleven grandchildren Ritchie Kline, Kathy Robbins, Reggie Blank, Diana Campbell, Eddie Blank, Nicole Blank, Chrissy Blank, Joe Kline, Matthew Kline, Jerry Kline and Tina Fox, 23 great grandchildren, seven sisters and one brother Lucille Keyser and husband Ray, Audrey Altenbern, Mary G. Fulmer and husband George, Patsy Korrell and husband Kenneth, Melva Witmer and husband Wilmer, Rosanna Kidd and husband Gene, Evelyn Hawker and husband Doug, Franklin Blank and wife Pat as well as his sisters-in-law Faye Davis, Dana Blank and Mary E. Blank. He was preceded in death by three brothers Chester, Grayson and James Blank.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Glade Valley Center for the loving care and support they provided for Edgar as well as his family.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Avenue, Walkersville on Sunday July 10, from 3-5 and 7-9pm, where services will be held Monday, July 11, at 11:00 am.
Interment Glade Cemetery.
