EDDIE EDWARDS, SR.
March 22, 1942 — July 3, 2016
Mr. Eddie L. Edwards, Sr., 74, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2016 at the VA Center in Martinsburg, WV. He was the husband of Wanda Taylor Edwards his wife of 34 years.
Born March 22, 1942 in Alabama the son of the late Ada Summerville.
He served his country in the US Army retiring in 1985 after 21 years of service. He was employed at Golden Living Center, Frederick retiring after many years of service as a nurse. Eddie enjoyed spending time with his family, was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Eddie Edwards, Jr. , Alabama, Xavier Edwards Alabama, Shavonne Brown and husband Anthony, Jr. of Hagerstown, Shalisha Edwards of Frederick grandchildren Quamesheia Edwards, Jonathan Edwards, Xaviana Edwards, Jessica Edwards, X'avier Whiteside, and Kai Brown and one great granddaughter., a brother Tony Summerville. He was preceded in death by a daughter Danielle Edwards, a sister Mary Alice Snyder, and two brothers Ronnie and James.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Monday, July 11, from 10:00 am until service time at 11:00 am. with Rev. Isiah Harper Officiating.
Interment will be in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery.
