Mr. Eddie M. Godwin, III, 51, of Adamstown passed away Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Angela Godwin for twenty years.
Born January 14, 1960 in Washington, D.C. he is the son of Helen Godwin of Silver Spring and the late Eddie M. Godwin, II.
Mr. Godwin was a Stationary Engineer for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. Eddie enjoyed woodworking and watching his children, nieces and nephews play sports. He was an avid Redskins fan and most importantly enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by his children Eddie M. Godwin IV of Mt. Airy and Rebecca and Luke Godwin of Adamstown; grandson Troy Godwin; sister Patricia Gratton and brother John Godwin both of Mt. Airy.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Thursday, January 12, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-9PM. A Mass will be held Friday, January 13, 2012 at 11AM at St. Ignatius of Loyola, 4103 Prices Distillery Road, Ijamsville, MD 21754. Father Michael Jendreck will be the celebrant.
