Earnest Barber

Mr. Earnest Lee "Ernie" Barber, 60, of Frederick died peacefully Saturday, May 23, 2015 at his home with Theresa Williams, his significant other for 33 years, by his side.

Born November 5, 1954 in Warrenton, VA, he was the son of Sally Barber Byrd of Warrenton and the late Lucian Lee Byrd.

Ernie was a truck driver for nearly 40 years. He loved tractor trailers, fishing, motorcycles, race cars and going to the race track.

In addition to his loving companion, Ernie is survived by his daughter, Alexis; his mother, Sally; a sister, Dorothy Hall; three brothers, Robert, Lawrence and Larry Byrd; numerous aunts and uncles, and a host of family members in Virginia and Tennessee. He will also be remembered by his good friends, Joyce Pickett and Mike Schumaker of Woodsboro; along with the entire Diggs family.

Theresa wanted to share these loving thoughts..."We are 2 peas in a pod with 33 years of history together. No matter what we've been thru, our love was unconditional until death do us part. We had a bond that nobody could break. You always had my back and I had yours.".... In loving memory of her "Buda Bear."

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
