Earlene Redman

Earlene Elisabeth Mae Redman, a very special lady and mother, age 79, passed away very peacefully at the home of her daughter Tracey on Friday, May 25, 2018, surrounded by her daughters, Tracey and Tina.

Born on April 9,1939, she was the daughter of the late George C. and Fannie Norris Karn.

She was employed for many years at London Fog, as a Postmaster and then worked in nursing before her retirement.

Earlene is survived by two sons, Johnny Redman and Sandy of Boonsboro and Dwayne Redman of Yarrowsburg; three daughters, Tina Goetz and husband, Burton of Sharpsburg, Tracey Redman and Ray of Keedysville and Robyn Tobery and husband, Chuck of Thurmont. She will also be dearly missed by a special friend of many years, Audridge "Slim" Longerbean.  She is survived by many nieces and nephews; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother, Gerald Karn of Burkittsville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Samuel Redman; son-in-law, Bruce Rowland; two brothers, Harry Karn (Bubby), George Karn (Junior); two sisters, Alma Merriman, Mary Broyles; two sisters-in-law, Louise Karn and Eva Karn; and brother-in-law, Thurman Broyles (Monk).

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 1st at the Brownsville Church of the Brethren with Revs. R. Thomas Fralin, Jr. and John Sumpter officiating. Burial will follow at the Brownsville Heights Cemetery.

No words can explain how grateful the family is with Hospice nurse, Rose Reynolds and Chaplain, John Sumpter for all of their kindness, care and support to our mother and to us through this difficult and sorrowful time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Avenue, Hagerstown, MD.
