Earl Maynard King, 90, of Walkersville, MD, passed from this life on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Glade Valley in Walkersville, MD.

Born on May 14, 1934, in Frederick, MD, he was the son of the late Harry C. King and Esther M. King (Stottlemyer), husband of L. Virginia King (Shorb) and father of Steven E. King, Eric M. King and David R. King.

Earl King was a graduate of Frederick High School. Earl was a member of the undefeated State Champion1952 Frederick High School Football Team.

Earl King was a training Sergeant in the Army and Army Reserve. For many years he and his wife owned and operated King’s Furniture located in Frederick and Taneytown, MD.

He served as a deacon at the Calvary Assembly of God in Walkersville, MD. 

He is survived by sons; Steven E. King (Kathy Braun), Eric King (Aisha), and David King, and grandchildren Lauren, Victoria, & Emersyn.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, July 5, 2024, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Emmitsburg Memorial Cemetery in Emmitsburg, MD.
