Mr. Earl Combs Harrell, 71 of Frederick, Maryland passed away on Monday, February 13, 2012 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Jo Ann Harrell. They were married for 47 years.
Born August 29, 1940 in Wilson, North Carolina he was the son of the late Johnny and Hattie Harrell.
Earl was a member of People’s Baptist Church. He also served as a deacon and sang in the church choir.
He served in the US Army and he retired as a contractor from the US State Department.
Earl loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition his loving wife Jo Ann, he is survived by his two sons, Joe D. Harrell and wife Sharon of Hagerstown, James L. Harrell and wife Karen of Frederick, a daughter, Dee A. Fry and husband Bryan of Albany, NY and his eight grandchildren, Deborah, Daniel, Sarah, Philip, Stephanie, Nathan, Laura and Bethany.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 18th at 11:00AM at People’s Baptist Church, 6648 Carpenter Rd., Frederick, MD where the family will be present to receive friends before services from 10:00-11:00AM. Dr. Kent Ramler will officiate services.
Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

And God shall wipe away tears from their yes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
