Master Dylan Joseph Seiss, age 6, son of Rick and Pearl Seiss of Cascade, became an angel of God on Tuesday, November 5, 2013. He was surrounded by family and friends when his journey on earth ended. Dylan was a first grade student at Cascade Elementary School. During Dylan's fight against cancer he was a real trooper who never complained. He always had a smile for everyone. He loved riding his four- wheeler with his big sister and his dad.
Dylan was born on February 7, 2007 at Gettysburg Hospital. In addition to his parents, Richard and Pearl, Dylan leaves behind his brother Tim, sisters Sheila and Jenna. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Pearl Burke of Woodsboro; paternal grandparents, Ross and Teresa Meem of Dickerson and Doug Seiss and companion Chris Jenkins of Rocky Ridge; paternal great grandparents Sterling and Mary Jean Seiss of Graceham and Maxine Naugle of Thurmont. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Walter Burke, Sr. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves behind his pets Otis, Shadow, Marvin, Weedle and Waddle.
Dylan was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Sabillasville. The family would like to thank Dr.
Comito and her team at Hershey Medical Center, Hospice of Washington County, Pastor Janet
Commings, staff and students of Cascade Elementary School and the many prayer warriors for Dylan.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main Street, Thurmont on Friday, November 8, from 5-8:00pm, where services will be held on Saturday, November 9, at 11:00 am with Pastor Janet Commings officiating.
Interment Mt. Bethel U. M. Church Cemetery.
