Dr. Gary E. Schreiber, 56, of Middletown, Maryland, passed away peacefully of natural causes on January 4th, 2024. He was the loving husband of Julie Buzzell Schreiber and the proud father of his children Emily, Sarah, and Jack.
Gary was born on February 12th, 1967 to Helen Todd Schreiber and Thomas David Schreiber, both who preceded him in death. In addition he is survived by his brother Eric Schreiber (Janette) and their children Evan, Jordan, and Jenna; his cherished cousins- Tommy, Todd, and Jeff O’Neill and their families and numerous other extended family members.
Gary was a graduate of Ridley Park High School. He then attended University of Maryland Baltimore Campus where he was a proud member of the Retriever Swim Team. After UMBC he attended Palmer College of Chiropractic. For the last 28 years, Dr. Gary served the community through his chiropractic practice - Complete Chiropractic PC. There was no greater joy for him than his role as Dr. Gary. He truly loved and cared for each and every one of his patients and their health and wellbeing. He had a true gift! Everyone who knew Dr. Gary would tell you he was one of the best storytellers.
Gary was also a very active member of the community- participating in the Lion’s Club of Frederick, Frederick Area Swim Team Board, YMCA Soccer Coach and a proud member of the Middletown United Methodist Church.
Gary was the most selfless, compassionate person anyone ever had the pleasure of meeting. He was the best husband and father that anyone could ever want. His love for his family surpassed all else. He was always present for his kids. He loved watching Emily and Sarah dance, Sarah sing, and was so proud of Jack following in his footsteps with swimming. There was no doubt that you knew how proud he was of his family and their life together. He was a proud Philadelphia Eagles Fan, loved taking care of his yard, visiting Cape May, NJ and was an avid Poptart and Swedish Fish connoisseur.
Gary always lived his life by following the phrase “always do the right thing” and he practiced that every day. His legacy is a testament to the positive impact he has made on so many lives.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Gary’s memory can be made to the family who, at a later date, will select a meaningful charity or organization he was passionate about.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Middletown United Methodist Church, 7108 Fern Court, Middletown, MD.
