Douglas Mongan

Douglas Lee Mongan, age 62, of 2458 Boteler Road, Brownsville, MD, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, at his home.

Born July 7, 1945 in Brunswick, MD, he was the son of the late Edward Lee and Isabell Josephine Lapole Mongan.

He had been employed for 20 years with CSX Railroad in Brunswick, MD.


He was a member of Brownsville Church of the Brethren.


He is survived by his wife, Fay Ellen Anders Mongan, whom he married Aug. 27, 1967; two daughters, Julie A. Norris of Trego, MD, and Sara E. Dillow of Yarrowsburg, MD; one son, Scott D. Mongan of Leesburg, VA; two sisters, JoAnn Taulton of Knoxville, MD, and Diane Mongan of Boonsboro, MD; four grandchildren; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.


A memorial services will be held 10 A.M. Saturday, Dec. 22, at Brownsville Church of the Brethren. The Rev. Alan Smith will officiate. Private interment will be at a later date.


There will be no viewing or visitation.


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Brownsville Church of the Brethren, 1911 Rohrersville Road, Brownsville, MD 21715.


Arrangements are by Bast Funeral Home in Boonsboro.
