Mr. Douglas “Doug” W. Denslow, 79, of Waynesboro, Pa, passed away, Monday, November 24, 2014 at the Waynesboro Hospital. He was the husband of his loving wife Janis Marie Denslow for 55 years.
Born August 11, 1935 in Boonville, N.Y, he was the son of the late Kenneth G. and Lilian Mowers Denslow.
Mr. Denslow served his country in the U.S. Army and was a past member of the American Legion Post #11. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Doug was a very charismatic and loving gentleman.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Kathie M. Immerman (John) of Chatham, NJ, Nancy G. Weakley (Greg) of Frederick, MD, Barbara A. McCardo (Tomas) of Attica, NY, Donna L. Resick (Joe) of Cresson, PA and Jodi D. Clark (Brian) of Waynesboro, PA, grandchildren Michael, Stephanie, Blake, Connor, Nicole, Louie, Colleen, Amanda, Domaris, Rocco, Grace and Jaxon, , siblings Bruce K. , Edwin, and Rodrick (Linda), Blanche Pfendler,Madeline Schoff, and Elaine Kline (Fred). He was preceded in death by two brother Richard and Donald Denslow. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Saturday, November 29, from 1:00 pm until service time at 3:00 pm. Pastor Mike Garland will officiate.
Interment will be in Port Leyden, N.Y.
