Mrs. Dorris Estelene Wilfong, 92 of Frederick, MD passed away on Monday, July 9th, 2012 at Glade Valley Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Arnett Wilfong who passed away in 1996.
Born December 16, 1919 in Tallmansville, WV she was the daughter of the late Leta and John Tallman.
Dorris was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Frederick.
She was a hair stylist at Woody’s Hair Salon. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, knitting and cooking.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Cara Wilfong of Walkersville, MD and her special niece Lorraine Johnson.
She was the last surviving member of her family.
She is preceded in death by her four sisters, Georgia, Claudia, Dana, and Neva and a brother, Mason.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Thursday, July 12 from 3:00-6:00PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 13th at 1:00PM with the Rev. Harry C. Cole officiating.
Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
