Dorris Johnsen

Mrs. Dorris C. Johnsen, 91, of Mt. Airy, MD and formally of Westminster, MD passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Lorien Life Center, Mt. Airy. She was the beloved wife of the late Oscar Louis Johnsen.

Born September 2, 1924 in Newark, NJ she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Loretta Miller Racine.

Dorris grew up in Asbury Park, NJ. She attended college in New York City. As a homemaker, she enjoyed knitting, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Dorris is survived by her children, daughter and son in law, Pamela and Gerald Pelano of Fairfax Station, VA, son and daughter in law, Michael and Barbara Johnsen of Cape Coral, FL, and son, Thomas Johnsen Sr. of Union Bridge, MD. She has 7 grandchildren, Brent Perry of Fairfax, VA, Alyson Kiser of Fairfax, VA, Thomas Johnsen Jr of Hanover, PA, Jennifer Mason of Menomonee Falls, WI, Leah Landrie of Menomonee Falls, WI, Paige Johnsen of Cape Coral, FL and Remi Johnsen of Cape Coral, FL. She has 9 Great Grandsons, Zach, Jake, & Travis Perry, Josh & Brady Kiser, Brennan, Carter & Trent Mason, and Micah Landrie.

Funeral services and interment will be private.
